kicks off tomorrow (Wednesday, August 18) at number 16 Via S. Giustina in the historical center of Lucca in the premises of the cultural "Puccini Opera" that organizes, under the auspices of the APT di Lucca, the exhibition "The plates of Puccini's" , the second of three exhibitions that up with free admission November 1 will make the public aware of new aspects and curiosity about the Master.

The exhibition presents an interesting collection of ceramics produced by two major Italian manufacturers, "Richard-Ginori" and "Piero Fornasetti," demonstrating how the world of opera, and Puccini in particular, had an interest in the twentieth century, even the magical world of "design" page. "Richard-Ginori" produced in the late nineteenth century, soon after the premiere of "La Bohème" (1896), a series of plates, bowls and saucers masterfully decorated in polychrome with characters drawn from Puccini's opera sketches Adolf Hohenstein. The second section is dedicated to those produced by the Manufacture Fornasetti Puccini: these are two big pots for "La Boheme", a series of eight plates devoted to the main characters of "La Bohème," "Madama Butterfly" by Giacomo Puccini "Carmen" by Georges Bizet and "La Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi, and an ashtray that reproduces the poster of the first performance of "Turandot" (1926).

are also currently underway and will close on November 1, "Puccini and the Cinema", an exhibition of original sketches and posters on the theme of Puccini, and "Giacomo Puccini, images and ideas of a universal success", permanent exhibition that covers the main stages of the artistic career of Giacomo Puccini. The exhibition will remain open to free entry every day until Nov. 1, with a closing round on Tuesday, from 10 to 19.
